Checkboxes in your sidebar
Turn on checkboxes next to every chat, including chats inside Projects. Select one by one, or use Select all for what is on screen. Scroll to load more and keep selecting.
Bulk delete or archive
Remove chats permanently, or move ChatGPT chats to your archive. Gemini and Claude have no archive, so only Delete is offered there. You always get a confirmation first.
Live progress
Chats are processed one at a time with a progress bar and percentage. A chat disappears from the list only after it succeeds. When it finishes, you see how many seconds it took and how many clicks you avoided.
Cancel anytime
Changed your mind mid-run? Press Cancel and the remaining chats are left untouched.
Skip chats by prefix
Enter prefixes like Self |, Works | and Select all will leave matching chats alone, so the important ones stay safe.

How it works
Three steps, no setup.
Show checkboxes
Open ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude, click the extension icon and switch on Show checkboxes.
Select chats
Tick the chats you want to clean up, or use Select all (skipping any prefixes you set). Scroll the sidebar to load more and select those too.
Delete or archive
Use the dialog in the top-right corner, confirm, and watch the progress. Cancel anytime.
Frequently asked questions
Is deleting reversible?
No. Deleted chats cannot be recovered. If you are unsure, use Archive on ChatGPT instead, which keeps the chat in your archive. Gemini and Claude do not offer archiving.
Does it collect or send my data?
No. GPT ChatCleaner has no server and no analytics. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does it work with chats inside Projects?
Yes. Chats in Projects and regular chats are both supported. Collapse the Projects or Pinned sections in the sidebar if you do not want them included in Select all.
Why does it process chats one at a time?
To stay gentle with each site's rate limits and to show accurate progress. If a request fails, the chat stays in your list so you can retry.
Can I keep certain chats from being selected?
Yes. In the popup, enter prefixes such as Self |, Works |. Select all will skip any chat whose title starts with one of them.
Which languages are supported?
English, Vietnamese, French, Italian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Japanese and German. The extension follows your browser language and falls back to English; you can change it from the dropdown in the popup.
Does it work on Gemini and Claude?
Yes, at gemini.google.com and claude.ai. You can select and bulk delete chats there. Archive is not available on those sites because they do not support it.
Why does it ask for these permissions?
Access to chatgpt.com, gemini.google.com and claude.ai lets it add checkboxes and send delete/archive requests on your behalf. “Storage” remembers your language and exclude prefixes. The other permissions let the popup talk to the page you are viewing. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
