GPT ChatCleanerPrivacy Policy
In short: GPT ChatCleaner does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. It has no server, no account system, and no analytics. Everything happens locally in your browser.
1. What the extension does
GPT ChatCleaner (“the extension”) lets you select multiple chats in the sidebar of ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude and delete them in bulk (or archive them, on ChatGPT only). It runs only on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com and claude.ai.
2. Data we collect
None. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information, browsing history, chat content, or usage statistics. The developer never receives any data from your use of the extension.
3. How the extension handles data on your device

The extension stores nothing except the optional settings above (exclude prefixes and language), does not read your chat messages, and does not communicate with any server other than ChatGPT's, Gemini's or Claude's own.
4. Permissions explained
- Access to chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com and claude.ai – required to add checkboxes to the sidebar and to send delete/archive requests to ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude on your behalf, when you ask for it.
- activeTab – lets the popup communicate with the ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude tab you are currently viewing.
- storage – saves your optional settings (exclude prefixes, language) on your device.
- scripting – lets the extension load its page script into an already-open ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude tab (for example, a tab opened before the extension was installed or updated) so you do not need to refresh.
5. Third parties
The extension does not share data with third parties and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking code. Requests the extension makes to ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude are subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy, Google's Privacy Policy and Anthropic's Privacy Policy respectively.
6. Remote code
The extension does not load or execute any remote code. All code is bundled in the extension package.
7. Your responsibility and data loss
Deleting a chat is permanent and cannot be undone. The extension always asks for confirmation before deleting or archiving, but you are responsible for reviewing your selection. If you are unsure, consider using Archive on ChatGPT (Gemini and Claude do not offer archiving).
8. Children's privacy
The extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a future version ever collects data, this policy will be updated before that release and, where required, your consent will be requested.
